Intro to Programming

Drag and drop programming where students are introduced to the world of coding, and walk away with a finished product of their own gaming library. Students will design several small games during the week, and will be able to continue to create at home. With Sage’s beloved Brenden Satake as your coach, this will surely be the highlight of your student’s summer!

  • Who: Elementary / Middle school students new to coding
  • Platform: MakeCode Arcade
  • Dates: Weekly sessions July 8 – 19
    • Session 1: 7/8 – 7/12
    • Session 2: 7/15 – 7/19

  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 10am – 12pm

Coding for High School Students

Explore the world of coding to tell your story in a community of students eager to take their STEM curiosities to the next level! Experiment and create experiences in 2D and 3D using Unity as your platform. Eager students will participate in a game jam, where the only challenge is to create a game in one week’s time! We’ll start by designing an environment with primitives, then add physics and basic scripting so students can launch their games from there! With Sage’s beloved Brenden Satake as your coach, the week is sure to be a blast!

  • Who: High School students
  • Platform: Unity
  • Dates: Weekly sessions July 29 – August 16
    • Session 1: 7/22 – 7/26
    • Session2: 7/29 – 8/2
  • Location: Drop-off and Pick-up at Dolliver Park, Madrone Canyon, Larkspur
  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 1pm OR 2pm – 6pm
  • Price: $750 per week
