“I love Sage Educators. I am so happy that I chose them for tutoring. After taking their SAT prep classes, my son’s score improved tremendously. Sage not only provided great tutors to help him be successful in school, they also built his confidence because they really understand kids.”

SAT Test Prep with Sage Educators

Our goal: Take the torment out of SAT test preparation. So, by the time they enter that testing center, the SAT is (practically) painless.

Sage’s industry leading diagnostic test analysis offers our students actionable data that informs their test preparation and test day strategies. (Learn more about our unique test analysis on our blog: Mastering the SAT) Additionally, our curriculum ensures that our students are armed with the skills they need to achieve the elusive higher scores they desire.

Our SAT classes are full enough for a lively atmosphere but small enough that your student will never feel lost in the crowd. A group environment allows students to thrive together but we also understand the importance of more personalized support, that’s why SAT students are encouraged to attend weekly instructor office hours, where they can practice and ask questions in a one-on-one environment.

For an even more personalized approach, many students opt to supplement the class with one-on-one sessions or prep entirely in a one-on-one setting with a tutor. Sage offers discount packages for students who wish to commit to a long term study plan.

What's on the SAT?

The SAT, used for college admissions, may be taken and prepared for at any high school level. Scores range from 400-1600 points. The current structure of the SAT consists of four main sections:

1. Reading: Includes passages and paired questions that test comprehension, reasoning, and vocabulary.
2. Writing and Language: Tests editing skills and knowledge of grammar, usage, and punctuation in context.
3. Math: Covers algebra, problem-solving and data analysis, advanced math, and additional topics.
4. Essay (optional): Analyzes how an author builds an argument to persuade an audience.

Each section is scored separately, and the total test duration is about 3 hours (excluding breaks).

The structure of the digital SAT is similar to the paper-based SAT, but it includes the following key differences:

1. All sections are taken on a computer instead of being paper-based.
2. The digital SAT does not include the essay portion.
3. Some questions are presented in an adaptive format, meaning the difficulty level of the questions adapts based on the test-taker’s responses.
4. The digital SAT allows students to receive scores within days, as opposed to weeks for the paper-based version.

Overall, the content and focus of the digital SAT remain consistent with the traditional SAT, but the test-taking experience is adapted for a digital format.
